Never weld without eye protection (welding helmet or safety glasses). Depending on the welding process and power, welding helmets or safety glasses with filter protection levels 8 – 14 are suitable. Warn people around you about the arc rays. Wear protective clothing, leather gloves, and a leather apron.
After welding, the workpieces can be hot. Wear appropriate protective gloves.
Risk of injury from puncturing or stabbing by the welding wire when threading. When threading the welding wire, ensure that no parts of your body or those of others are in the transport area of the welding wire.
When removing slag, wear safety glasses with side protection. Instruct people around you to keep their distance.
To reduce noise exposure and protect against injuries, wear hearing protection.
Never attempt to disassemble the pressure reducer. Replace a defective pressure reducer.
Transport and place the device only on firm and level ground. The maximum permissible tilt angle for transport and placement is 15°. Secure yourself and the device when working on elevated or inclined work surfaces. Further information on transport can be found in the article on Transport of the power source.
Do not thaw frozen pipes or lines using a power source.
Close the side cover of the wire feed housing before welding.
Turn off the device during work breaks and close the gas cylinder valve. This also applies in the event of a power failure, overheating, mechanical damage, or if you notice smoke, fire, unusual noises, electric current on the housing, or atypical vibrations. Service and repair work may only be carried out by a trained electrical specialist.
