When welding, personal protection and the protection of others come first.
But there are also a few points to consider to protect the welding device:
Use only the amperage values specified in the technical data for the mains fuses.
RED by Lorch welding devices are usually cooled by fans.
- Do not cover ventilation slots. The device could overheat and be damaged.
- Do not insert objects through the ventilation slots. This could damage the fan.
- Never weld if the fan is defective; instead, have the device repaired.
- Ensure that no conductive dust, corrosion-promoting vapours, moisture, etc. are drawn in.
Observe the specifications for duty cycle in the technical data of your RED welding device.
