To ensure your MMA 160 PRO electrode welding machine from RED by Lorch operates reliably and achieves a long service life, regular care and maintenance are important. Please observe the following instructions and intervals for maintenance and care to avoid damage and ensure safety during welding.

Improper care can damage the device and cause injury.
- Turn off the device, unplug the power cord and secure the device against being switched on again.
- Do not use dripping wet cloths or high-pressure cleaners.
- Observe the applicable safety and accident prevention regulations.

Visually inspect device
- Turn off the device.
- Unplug the power plug.
Check housing, controls, accessories
- Check the following items for damage and wear:
- Housing
- Control Elements
- Accessories
- Have the items replaced if necessary.
Check torch, electrode holder
- Check the following items for damage and wear:
- TIG torch: housing, gas nozzle, clamping sleeve, clamping sleeve housing
- Electrode holder: contact areas
- Replace the items if necessary.
- Clean the items if necessary.
Check cables and connections
- Check cables and connections for damage and wear and replace if necessary.
- Check connections for surface rust and remove if necessary.
Clean device
- Turn off the device.
- Unplug the power cord.
Clean ventilation slots
- Vacuum the air vents.

Never carry out repairs or technical modifications yourself. In such cases, the warranty will expires and the manufacturer rejects any product liability for the device. In case of problems and repairs, please contact RED by Lorch.
