If the shielding gas does not switch off after the MIG-MAG- or TIG welding process is completed, the cause is usually a dirty or sticking solenoid valve.
Possible causes and solutions
Solenoid valve dirty or sticking
Solution: Remove the torch and pressure reducer, blow out the solenoid valve with compressed air against the flow direction.
Caution is advised when blowing out with compressed air. The working pressure of the compressed air system should be reduced with a pressure reducer to avoid damage to the device.
